The Church Restaurant - La Parroquia in Isla Mujeres Mexico

Definitely not off the beaten path like Anthony Bourdain would say, it’s actually right in the center of the island. A little hidden, maybe because the church is a big spiritual presence. La Parroquia, as I would like to call it “The Church Restaurant”, a little easier to remember for Gringos and it embeds the location, so there is no excuse for you not to find this local gem. So what’s good? Everything! I would say the best Chilaquiles in Isla Mujeres. Why? savory flavors, texture, and cooked with love. Plan to do a little drinking while on the island? well, their Chilaquiles is the perfect cure for any Good Mexican hangover. The Church Restaurant serves breakfast and late lunch (9a -3p). Many local dishes for all diverse pallets to enjoy. Not only do they have Good Mexican dishes, but the owners are definitely Good Mexicans ;-) A religious family dedicated to working hard everyday to give you the best experience.
